Wool
I endeavour to source all my fleeces sustainably, often purchasing from very small flock owners where the fleece would otherwise be discarded. The money from the fleece sale can be used to support the welfare of the sheep and the wool can be made into something. That being said, the wool I work with is not graded and quality of fleece can vary depending on the age of the sheep etc. – my experience with one fleece may be very different to another fleece from the same breed – so if I find a wool coarser than expected from my research, it doesn’t mean all fleeces from that breed are coarse.

Before using a fibre I research the breed and fleece and endeavour to make sure all information displayed on this website is accurate.
